From the Director
Elder Services to develop Lee service enriched housing

December 1, 2002

Dear Friend of Elder Services:

Elder Services’ mission is to provide Berkshire elders the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and self-determination, and to achieve the highest possible quality of life.

Eighty-year-old Mabel Pierce (not her real name), who lives alone, struggled with the effects of failing eyesight and severe arthritis. Cooking and bathing were difficult; paying bills and writing checks were impossible. Elder Services was able to provide help with Meals on Wheels, money management assistance, and personal care. Mabel is now able to remain safely and comfortably at home.

Berkshire elders need your help to successfully meet each day’s challenges.

Please send your tax-deductible donation to Elder Services so that we can continue to help our older neighbors live in safety and comfort in their own homes, where they want to be.

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Karen P. Reilly

President, Board of Directors
