2 Medigap Companies Voluntarily Open Enrollment
Through December 31,2002

The two Medigap companies active in Massachusetts have voluntarily opened up enrollment for all 3 types of Medigap policies for every Medicare beneficiary in Massachusetts. Seniors and disabled Medicare beneficiaries can choose a new policy from now through December 31, 2002; all policies purchased in this time period shall begin coverage on January 1,2002
Across the Commonwealth, the health benefits counselors in the Serving Health Information Needs of Elders-SHINE-Program are available to help Medicare beneficiaries of all ages, both senior citizens and adults with disabilities, know what insurance options they have.
