Q. I have a bad case of "cabin fever" and would like to meet other people. I dont have a lot of money and I dont have transportation. Are there programs for Seniors in Berkshire County where I could meet people?
A. There are many senior centers throughout Berkshire County that have a wide variety of activities. Many senior centers have congregate meal programs, exercise programs, arts & crafts, health clinics and guest speakers. Many centers also have van transportation to and from the center. Consider attending lunch at your local senior center and staying afterwards for afternoon activities. You will need to call at least 24 hours ahead for a lunch reservation and to arrange transportation. Below is a list of the Senior Centers that house meal programs.
