Annual Caregiver Resource EXPO - Register now

The Fourth Annual Caregiver Resource EXPO, featuring exhibitors representing various agencies, services, and useful products to support caregivers, will take place on Wednesday, April 25 at the Crowne Plaza, One West Street in Pittsfield from 4 to 8 p.m. The EXPO is co-sponsored by Elder Services of Berkshire County, the Berkshire Alzheimer’s Partnership, and the Alzheimer’s Association. The program, which is free, includes a light supper.
The keynote speaker will be Joanne Koenig-Coste, whose presentation is entitled, “Are You Listening or Are You Just Waiting to Speak?” Koenig-Coste is the president of the international organization, Alzheimer Consulting Associates, providing help to healthcare providers, and acts as an advocate for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and their families. She is a past board chair for the Massachusetts Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, and is the founder of the Program Directors’ Alliance, a grassroots organization designed to elevate the status of those working with Alzheimer’s patients in the community. Koenig-Coste has a degree in education and a master’s in counseling and psychology, and is currently a member of the faculty at Cambridge College. Keonig-Coste’s book, “Learning to Speak Alzheimer’s," was selected by the World Health Organization for Medical School libraries across the country.
