The Berkshire Alzheimer’s Partnership invites the community to attend a Caregivers EXPO at the Crowne Plaza, West Street, Pittsfield. This EXPO will be Wednesday, April 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will focus on the needs of caregivers, in particular those who are caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
The special guest speaker will be Joyce Simard, M.S.W. Simard is a Geriatric Consultant in Land O’Lakes, Florida. Previously she was the National Director for Alzheimer’s and Special Programs in Washington, D.C., and more recently was Vice President of Alzheimer’s and Residential Services, Carematrix Corporation in Needham, Masschusetts. A wide array of caregiver resources and community businesses will be represented at the EXPO and blood pressure screenings, a tasty meal, and exciting door prizes will round out the evening.
