Corporate Sponsors provide support for Meals on Wheels

It was a warm, sunny day on June 8, 2004 when Elder Services celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a special event and fundraiser at the Country Club of Pittsfield, raising over $23,000 for Meals on Wheels. A significant portion of this amount was contributed by 54 corporate sponsors, enough to support the full cost of 3,000 meals.
For each of four days in December, 750 Berkshire seniors received home-delivered meals with holiday labels attached identifying the sponsor of that meal. Meals prepared by the Elder Services kitchen are much appreciated by those who receive them for they are both delicious and nutritious; and the Meals on Wheels drivers are known for their friendly smiles, which accompany each meal. Elder Services is grateful for the generosity of individuals and organizations, who support the Meals on Wheels program in Berkshire County.
