Elder Services of Berkshire County has received a $1,375 Venture Grant from Berkshire United Way to create a Traveling Library of videos on aging-related topics to be distributed to participating Councils on Aging in rural Berkshire towns without cable television.
Elder Services’ traveling library will include video copies of selected Berkshire Senior TV shows, as well as videos on topics such as caregiving essentials, preventing falls, and communicating with physicians. Some videos will be on permanent loan to the Councils on Aging and others will be made available on request for a two-week loan from Elder Services’ Gallagher Alzheimer’s Resource Center. The Traveling Library may eventually expand to other Berkshire locations.
