Free Tax Preparation Assistance in Berkshire County

By Roger Suters

Free tax preparation assistance will continue through April 15 for all middle and low-income taxpayers, with special attention given to those aged 60 and older. This assistance is provided through the Tax-Aide Program sponsored by the AARP Foundation. Volunteers have been trained in cooperation with the IRS and will assist in filling out tax forms with an option to file electronically. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service.
