-- Programs and Services -- Contact InformationThe Governor's list of vetoed items does not appear to effect home care line items, or language. The line item allocations for home and community-based services which came out of the Legislature's Joint Conference Committee appear to be intact.
The Governor did reduce the human services salary reserve from $20 million to $10 million (item 1599-6901). He also changed the language in the account so that $7 millon is to be used for workers earning less than $25,000, and $3 million for workers earning between $25,001 and $40,000. It is possible that the Legislature will override these changes.
The Prescription Advantage has been adapted into a program that will subsidize seniors who will not receive the full federal Medicare drug benefit that begins January 1.
This year's statewide lobbying campaign for additional funding for home and community based services was extremely effective.
